Common questions
What to know before your first cycle.
Is Peck free?
Yes. Sets, cycles, review, progress charts, achievements, friends, and leaderboards all come with an account. There is no paid tier and no ads.
Can I train with friends?
Yes. Choose a username, then add friends by username or invite link. Once you connect, you can see each other’s training stats, levels, and streaks, and compare weekly and all-time XP in your friends league. Each player trains their own puzzle sets.
How is this different from Lichess or Chess.com puzzles?
Peck lets you create multiple sets for different goals. Each set keeps the same positions between cycles, so your missed-puzzle review queue and speed and accuracy history stay meaningful.
Where do the puzzles come from?
The Lichess puzzle database, filtered by theme and rating when you build a set. You can open any position on Lichess from inside a session.
How big should my first set be?
Choose a set that fits the time you can train consistently. Peck supports sets from 20 to 500 puzzles and lets you choose the number of cycles, rating range, and an optional tactical theme.
